Long-billed Curlew gone crabbin' at Ft Funston 11-18-25

While I was waiting for the Bottlenose Dolphins to make their way from Mussel Rock to Ft Funston, I spent a bit of time with my shorebird friends. The Sanderlings were out and as fun as always to watch - I'll post a video of them later. When I started videoing this guy, I thought it was a Whimbrel, but when I got the footage on to my computer I realized it was a Long-billed Curlew. He was having fun crabbing. This little crab almost got away, but that long bill eventually found him again.
