Red-tailed Hawk Has a Lot to Say, Pacifica 8/24/26

We were watching TV when I heard the familiar screech of the Red-tailed Hawk.  My head snapped toward the window, as did the heads of our two cats.  I grabbed my camera and went out the door to see a beautiful Red-tailed Hawk sitting on the light post.  I got a few photos and then went up to the roof for a better angle, hoping he’d stay and continue his calls.  As I was filming, I started to wonder if he was asking me why I was paying so much attention to the whales recently, and wasn’t he interesting enough for some screen time?  Well, hopefully this appeases him.  Fun fact, often in movies and TV, when they show a Bald Eagle, the play the sound of a Red-tailed Hawk because it sounds more like what people expect a Bald Eagle to sound like.
