Sooty Shearwaters Organized Chaos, Pacifica 8/8/26

I was out filming the whales and saw the Sooty Shearwaters make an appearance on their migration.  They have an almost 40,000 mile migration!  These guys really see the world!  I’ve photographed and videoed them numerous times, but I thought it might be cool to get the drone’s perspective.  It is just amazing watching these guys.  There are so many of them, it looks like a “river of birds” streaming by.  And when they all start diving for fish, it looks like the sea is boiling.  I did my best to capture the experience.
