Blue Angels, SF FleetWeek 2026 10/9/26

Most of Friday’s FleetWeek airshow was canceled due to fog and low clouds.  Some of the planes did fly, but you’d only know it from the sound.  Similar to a lot of San Francisco fireworks shows where you get “colored clouds”, we instead got “noisy clouds”.  However it cleared up just enough by the end of the day that the Blue Angels were able to do an abbreviated show.  And possibly to help ease the pain of missing most of the show, they did two low-fast passes that caused vapor cones.  Typically they only do one of those.  While short, and missing most of the formation flying bits, they still put on a great show for those who stuck around to see it.
