Bottlenose Dolphins 11/25/25
The lighting and conditions were excellent for photographing the dolphins. Even better, these guys seemed to enjoy showing their faces more than normal. It’s great being able to put a face to a dorsal fin. I first saw them next to the Pacifica Pier, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to get my gear together in time to catch them at the pier. Since they were heading north, I got everything together and headed to the RV park. I got there just as they were getting there and I got a few shots. Then I zipped up to Esplanade, got a few more, and then headed to Mussel Rock to get a few more. After they left Mussel Rock I went up to Fort Funston. At Funston I took primarily video, and I posted that earlier.
It was a beautiful day with some beautiful and fun animals. Can’t ask for much better than that.
