Kite Surfer, Sharp Park Beach 6/30/26

When I looked out the window and saw this surfer’s kite, I was really tempted to grab my camera and take some video because I’ve photographed him before and he’s talented.  Plus I enjoy watching and photographing surfers.  But looking at the flags on the flagpole, I knew going out there for video was going to be really difficult with the wind blowing my lens all over, so I decided to just watch and enjoy.  But eventually I couldn’t take it any more.  I put a smaller lens on the camera to mitigate the wind impact somewhat and headed out.  He was nearing the end of his session, but he still had some nice moves left, and I managed to film some of it.
