Sneaky Red-tailed Hawks - Mori Point 10/27/25

The hawks are almost as good as the whales at playing games with me. The whales love to use one whale to distract me while another one sneaks up behind me (impressive for such a large animal! 😉 ). It seems the hawks can play similar games. I was watching one hawk kiting by the hill across from me when I got a feeling that I should look behind me. I turned around and saw this fella *right* behind me. Sneaky little devils!

And both of the hawks teamed up to distract me from a nearby Kestrel, but I finally caught sight of him and got some video. I haven't reviewed the footage yet, but if it looks good I'll be posting that later.
